The broader index achieve a high of 5541.80 and low of 5487.65 intraday. Bombay Stock Exchange's Sensex ended at 18338.69, fell 192.59 points or 1.04%. In today’s trading, the 30-share index hit a high of 18492.68 and low of 18319.88. BSE Midcap Index fell 0.84 % and the BSE Smallcap Index change 0.74 % lower.

Amongst sectoral indices, BSE Realty Index down 1.60% while BSE Metal Index was down 1.46% and BSE Bankex slide 1.19%. BSE Healthcare Index increase 0.92%. There are five that include the major Nifty losers such as Jaiprakash Associates -3.37%, DLF -3.28%, Siemens -3.04%, Bajaj Auto -2.75% and the last Tata Steel -2.69%. Jaiprakash Associates made a report of net profit about Rs 301.95 crores for the quarter that ended on March 31 and in 2011 is compared to Rs 243.97 crores last year.
