Mayor of London Boris Johnson has pledged to reduce the portion of the City Hall council tax for 2012/13 with £3.10.
Residents will have frozen council tax bills in 2012/13 after Haringey Council finance chief said that he felt it was doing the right thing. On Wednesday night, Cllr Joe Goldberg has said in a letter to his fellow workers that he would accept offering of the government a one-time grant of £ 2.5million which is equivalent to increasing the share of council tax by 2.5 percent next year. He also said that he wanted to avoid the burden of anxiety and clear the area and want to attack their political rivals on the "lies".
The announcement comes ahead of a cabinet meeting was on Tuesday when councilors will decide next year's budget, which must then be approved by full council on 28 February. Cllr Goldberg added that an increasing share of council tax authorities will cause difficulties for the family to struggle with rising household bills, are like the VAT and the increase in the cost of the vehicle.
