On Tuesday, (CN) stock prices was down 0.88 percent with the benchmark considerated index closing under the psychological 8,000-point mark and a one-month moving average at 8,018 points.
Tehe traditional industries losses, the financial sector and also the electronics stocks was dragging the markets into down.
The market opened rose 16.48 points immediately after the opening bell and quickly up to the days at 8,062.91. But, down to the day's low of 7,965.96 before the finish of the trading session.
The weighted index ended lower 71.22 points or 0.88 percent to close at 7,972.70. Turnover hit NT$81.77 billion (US$2.77 billion) during the session.
The total of 1,070 stocks finished up and 2,931 closed down, while 366 still unchanged.
Most of the eight major stock categories were closed down, with plastics and chemicals and the financial sectors both the heaviest losses, each closing down 1.2 percent.
Beside the plastics and chemicals stocks, Formosa Petrochemical Corp, Nan Ya Plastics, Formosa Chemicals & Fibre all ended down , with Formosa Chemicals & Fibre losing by 2.29 percent to close at NT$85.50.
Foodstuffs rose 0.3 percent, while the cement sector and textile stocks both slid by 0.2 percent.
Paper and pulp stocks dropped 0.6 percent and the construction sector slipped 0.3 percent.
